If you’ve been thinking about making a donation to help keep NMPolitics.net going, now is the time.
As of this evening, NMPolitics.net has raised $9,882 toward its goal of $12,000.
That puts the site at 82 percent of its goal. That’s fantastic! Now I need your help to get to 100 percent.
You can make a donation today at nmpolitics.net/contribute.
So far, 125 people from across the state and beyond, and from across the political spectrum, have made contributions to NMPolitics.net. Last week, donors included Amy Taves of Santa Fe, James M. Clark of Clovis, State Rep. Eliseo “Lee” Alcon of Milan, Roxanne Lara of Carlsbad, Bryan Gioannini of Las Cruces, Tracy Dingmann of Albuquerque, Bernie and MaryAnn Digman of Las Cruces, and Javier Ortiz of El Paso, Texas.
As I told you last week, The New York Times is taking a huge and controversial leap by charging subscription fees for accessing more than 20 articles a month on its website. With NMPolitics.net, I’m trying something different by asking those of you who can afford to give to voluntarily help fund NMPolitics.net.
If every person who reads NMPolitics.net contributed even $10, this site would surpass this year’s fundraising goal. If those of you who can afford to give more made donations of $25, $50, $100 or another amount, that would put the site on even more solid footing.
I want to thank those of you who have already made donations. Your support means a lot to me, and it’s encouraging.
Please, if you haven’t already made a donation, visit nmpolitics.net/contribute today and give what you can. If you have any questions, e-mail me at heath@haussamen.com.
