Pete Domenici, R-N.M., recently wandering around Senate office buildings in his pajamas?  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He says not, but some staffers told Roll Call that is exactly what happened, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rawstory.com\/news\/2006\/Is_Senator_wandering_around_office_buildings_1204.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Raw Story<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Apparently, there were \u201ca number of reports\u201d that Domenici was wandering around Senate office buildings in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> on Friday in pajamas \u2013 \u201ctartan\u201d or \u201cbuffalo plaid\u201d bottoms and a \u201cloose-fitting shirt,\u201d according to the article.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">There was even a report that he was walking around in boxers, though it seems likely that was a bad rumor that resulted from people talking about the attire he was wearing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">As for Domenici, he said they were hunting pants, not pajama bottoms, according to the article. He said the shirt was a <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placetype st=\"on\">University<\/st1:placetype> of <st1:placename st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:placename><\/st1:place> golf shirt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cWhat are people talking about, \u2018walking the halls?\u2019 I work!\u201d Domenici was quoted in the article as saying. \u201cThese pants have two pockets like any else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He was quoted in the article as saying he wears the hunting pants around the house, and if he goes to the office, \u201cI don\u2019t necessarily take them off. They\u2019re comfy, and they\u2019re fun. People stop me to talk about them. They\u2019re Christmasy. They\u2019re black and white.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The consensus seems to be that Domenici wasn\u2019t wearing pajamas \u2013 he just lacks a bit of style sense.
