Thomas<\/a> was re-elected today.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas won with 1,444 votes, or 55 percent, to the 1,201 votes, or 45 percent, that went to challenger <a href=\"http:\/\/citizensforharbison.com\/views.html\">James W. Harbison<\/a>. That\u2019s according to unofficial results obtained by NMPolitics.net and includes tallies collected from receipts posted on the doors of all five polling places in the district and early and absentee voting.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas could not be reached for comment, but Harbison confirmed that the race \u201cis over.\u201d He said he\u2019s called Thomas to concede the race but has been unable to reach her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe voters have spoken. I don\u2019t understand their vote but I respect their vote, and that\u2019s all I can say,\u201d Harbison said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>District 6 Las Cruces City Councilor Sharon K.
