Democratic challenger Ralph Misquez received 169 votes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In the county commission District 1 race, Oscar Vasquez Butler received 203 votes, and Republican challenger John Zimmerman received 111 votes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">These early results from the south county fare well for <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Butler<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and Garrison. <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Butler<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> needed south-county voters to win, and this turnout in the south county is impressive and probably unprecedented. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Precinct 17 in La Mesa, Republican Sheriff Todd Garrison did pretty well, increasing his chances of winning this race.
