He\u2019s not even in the district. Pearce, it turns out, was in Bernalillo today, along with other members of <st1:state st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:state>\u2019s congressional delegation and the governor, gripping and grinning at an event celebrating some new system that, according to a news release from Gov. Bill Richardson, \u201cwill help strengthen the state\u2019s ability to guard against those who would try to smuggle radioactive material into <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/1600\/Debate%20ducker.13.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/200\/Debate%20ducker.13.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>The technology is going to be housed at the state\u2019s port-of-entry facility in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Gallup<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He gripped a few hands, he grinned for a few photographs, he gave a few quotes, but Pearce still won\u2019t take the time for a televised debate with his opponent, Democrat Al Kissling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> has the same time to grip and grin, but won\u2019t debate his opponent, Republican John Dendahl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">You think either Richardson or Pearce will attend tonight\u2019s candidate forum?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">By the way, the forum is at the <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Munson<\/st1:PlaceName> <st1:placename st=\"on\">Senior<\/st1:PlaceName>  <st1:placetype st=\"on\">Center<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>, <st1:street st=\"on\"><st1:address st=\"on\">975 South Mesquite Street<\/st1:address><\/st1:Street>, and begins at 6:30 p.m. A bunch of other statewide candidates, in addition to candidates for district judgeships and seats on the Public Regulation Commission, will be in attendance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can you guess where Steve Pearce is today?
