That\u2019s about 2.5 percent of the county\u2019s 96,246 registered voters.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-indent: 0.5in;\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">According to the county, 2,317 people had voted at the <st1:placename st=\"on\">Do\u00f1a<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">Ana<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">County<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">Government<\/st1:placename> <st1:placetype st=\"on\">Center<\/st1:placetype> on <st1:street st=\"on\"><st1:address st=\"on\">Motel Boulevard<\/st1:address><\/st1:street> in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, which has been open for voting since Oct. 10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Early voting at the satellite sites started Saturday, so those numbers are much smaller. On Saturday and Monday, 24 people voted at Highland Elementary on the city\u2019s East Mesa, nine people voted at the site in Anthony, six voted at the site in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Sunland<\/st1:placename>  <st1:placetype st=\"on\">Park<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>, and none voted at the site in Hatch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">You read that right. As of Monday, no one had voted in Hatch. Come on, people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The numbers of requested absentee ballots are higher. The county has sent 2,149 ballots to Democrats, 885 to Republicans and 386 to people registered as minor party members or independents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Of the total number of registered voters in the county, 47,782, or 49.6 percent, are Democrats; 28,803, or 29.9 percent, are Republicans; and 19,661, or 20.4 percent, are registered as minor party members or independents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Early voting continues through Nov. 4 for the Nov. 7 general election. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of Monday, 2,356 people had voted in Do\u00f1a Ana County.
