Bill Richardson, the commuter rail and public funding of the spaceport Tuesday night, according to news accounts.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Democratic congressional candidate Al Kissling received hardly a mention in the media, so I can\u2019t tell you a thing about his time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Both got free air time after their opponents refused to debate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/1600\/Kissling%2C%20Al.16.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/200\/Kissling%2C%20Al.15.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Dendahl, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freenewmexican.com\/news\/50824.html\" target=\"_blank\">Santa Fe New Mexican<\/a>, thanked KOB for the airtime, to which anchor Carla Aragon said, \u201cIt\u2019s a service to the voters,\u201d contrasting statements by the <st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> campaign that a debate that included Dendahl airtime would \u201ctear down <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>\u201d and be a \u201cdisservice to the voters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Dendahl took a shot at <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u2019s refusal to debate, according to the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI thought that someone who has held public office basically since 1982 would want to debate someone like me who has never held elective office,\u201d Dendahl said, adding that he thinks <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> won\u2019t debate him because he doesn\u2019t want 2008 presidential opponents to have the video to use in commercials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cHe\u2019s not particularly a good debater,\u201d Dendahl said, according to the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">You can read the rest of the article by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freenewmexican.com\/news\/50824.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. It includes a response from <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u2019s campaign manager, Amanda Cooper, but I\u2019m not going to use any of her response here. If she wanted time to respond, she should have put her candidate in the debate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/joemonahansnewmexico.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Monahan<\/a> said Dendahl was tripped up when asked about his past support for legalizing drugs. Dendahl said he is on the record as saying legalization needs to be discussed, but added that position is \u201cnot part of my campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cBut the proverbial cat was out of the bag and the confident candidate for a moment looked sheepish and uncertain,\u201d Monahan wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Dendahl was once an attack dog as the chair of the state GOP, but says he is different as a candidate.
