Heather Wilson, R-N.M., is now trailing Democratic challenger Patricia Madrid in three recent polls.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Earlier this month, a Reuters\/Zogby <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zogby.com\/news\/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1176\" target=\"_blank\">poll<\/a> had <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Madrid<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> up 50-40 percent. Now a poll done by SurveyUSA and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kobtv.com\/snapshotskob\/html\/28344.html\" target=\"_blank\">KOB-TV<\/a> has <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Madrid<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> up 53-45 percent, with two percent undecided. The poll, conducted Oct. 13-15, surveyed 800 people. The poll has a margin of error of 4.6 percentage points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Three weeks ago, a similar poll done by the same group had <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Wilson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> leading 51-46 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/1600\/Wilson%2C%20Heather.5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/200\/Wilson%2C%20Heather.5.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>The latest poll by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.majoritywatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">RT Strategies\/Cook Political Report<\/a> has <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Madrid<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> ahead 52-44 percent. It surveyed 986 respondents Oct. 8-10, and has a margin of error of 3.09 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Brian Sanderoff, who does polls for the Albuquerque Journal, is out this week doing the next survey in this race, <a href=\"http:\/\/joemonahansnewmexico.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Monahan<\/a> reports. His last <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/497895nm10-01-06.htm\" target=\"_blank\">poll<\/a> had the candidates tied at 44 percent, just before the Foley scandal rocked Congress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">As Monahan reports: Most pundits agree, the race is <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Madrid<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>\u2019s to lose. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Rep.
