The ad accuses King of missing almost 1,300 votes as a legislator.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/1600\/King%2C%20Gary.5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/200\/King%2C%20Gary.1.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Bibb\u2019s campaign claims the tally doesn\u2019t include votes from the 1990 and 1994 legislative sessions. In all, King spent 12 years in the legislature.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">King missed most of the 1994 session because he broke both legs in a car accident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">King\u2019s campaign responded today by saying Bibb\u2019s tally is inaccurate, stating that, even if it included votes missed in 1994 during King\u2019s hospitalization, \u201cthe number cited still don\u2019t add up.\u201d The campaign, in its news release, did not provide its own specific numbers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cMy opponent is clearly feeling the effects of being 31 points down in the polls and has resorted to desperation negative campaigning,\u201d King said in the release. \u201cI am disappointed Jim Bibb has chosen the low road and chooses to mislead the public for his own personal benefit.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican attorney general candidate Jim Bibb, facing huge deficits in the polls, has unleashed the first negative ad of the campaign.
