Bill Richardson continued his ducking of a debate with John Dendahl while he spent today in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">Michigan<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> was in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Lansing<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> to launch a \u201cLatinos for Granholm\u201d group to support Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.contracostatimes.com\/mld\/cctimes\/news\/politics\/15631545.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/1600\/Dendahl%2C%20John.13.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/200\/Dendahl%2C%20John.12.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>While there, Richardson jumped into the discussion about why that state\u2019s Republican gubernatorial candidate was happy to have a fundraiser with first lady Laura Bush but was nowhere to be found when the president and vice president came through Michigan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cWe\u2019re seeing (Republican) governor candidates around the country staying away because the president\u2019s not a help,\u201d <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> told the news service. \u201cI\u2019m seeing that everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u2019m seeing a governor staying away from <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> because he doesn\u2019t want to debate Dendahl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He created the Jeff Armijo fiasco and then went to <st1:place st=\"on\">Africa<\/st1:place> and let his party settle it, making it appear as if he was above all the infighting. Now he\u2019s gone again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Come on, governor. Are you afraid? Do you really think Dendahl will give you a bruising? You can take on Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong II but not <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>\u2019s Republican gubernatorial candidate?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">That\u2019s ridiculous. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After hanging out with Democrats and the national press on the East Coast this week, Gov.
