After lunch, Vigil\u2019s attorney, Sam Bregman, rested without presenting evidence or calling witnesses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He did the same during the first trial in the spring. Vigil is being tried on some 20 federal counts of extortion and racketeering. The first trial ended with a lone juror refusing to vote for a conviction on at least some of the counts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Jury instructions wrapped up today and both sides were set to make closing arguments.
