You may have noticed in the past couple of weeks that NMPolitics.net\u2019s website was running more slowly than usual. It was having some serious technical issues. I had to devote time to diagnosing the problems and fixing them.<\/p>\n

Which I think I did. I\u2019m glad to say the site is running at normal speed now.<\/p>\n

I operate NMPolitics.net as a one-man show. That means I do everything \u2013 reporting, photography, writing, editing, layout, social media, website maintenance, fundraising, bookkeeping and more. It\u2019s a lot of work.<\/p>\n

But I believe in the importance of independent journalism, and I\u2019m proud that NMPolitics.net is funded almost entirely by donations from people like you. There\u2019s not another news organization in New Mexico that\u2019s less dependent on big advertisers or huge foundation grants.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t charge a required subscription fee because I believe you should have access to news and information about your government regardless of your ability to pay. But that means I need your help.<\/p>\n
