Haussamen’s article examined an ambitious effort led by Do\u00f1a Ana County Clerk Scott Krahling to address the perennial problem of low voter turnout, largely through engaging young people and aiming to build a stronger culture of voting in the county over a generation.<\/p>\n

The article was well-received. In addition to the radio interview with Marash, The Santa Fe New Mexican’s editorial board weighed in, writing in an op-ed<\/a> that other county clerks should follow Krahling’s lead and undertake similar initiatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
