Conservative blogger Mario Burgos<\/a> made a great point in a posting on his blog today.<\/p>\n

Recall the text from this commercial Gov. Bill Richardson\u2019s re-election campaign aired on radio stations across the state in June:<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

\u201cA secret meeting\u2026 The order is delivered\u2026 And the political candidate quietly goes away\u2026 Is this the Third World<\/st1:place>? The Middle East<\/st1:place>? Eastern Europe<\/st1:place>? No. It\u2019s the New Mexico Republican Party Central Committee and John Dendahl.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Of course, the ad is attacking the infamous Damron\/Dendahl switcheroo.<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The ad also contains these words: \u201cForget about elections. Forget about the voter. That\u2019s the way John Dendahl wants it, and that\u2019s the way it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burgos<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> suggests we apply these words to the situation involving Democrat Jeff Armijo\u2019s removal from the ballot in the race for state auditor.<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

\u201cA secret meeting… The order is delivered… And the political candidate is forced to resign. Is it the Third World<\/st1:place>? The Middle East<\/st1:place>? Eastern Europe<\/st1:place>? No, it\u2019s the New Mexico Democratic Party led by Governor Bill Richardson,\u201d Burgos<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> writes. \u201cFirst, Richardson<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> sets up a meeting with Democratic nominee for State Auditor, Jeff Armijo, and his father. Richardson<\/st1:city> tells Armijo<\/st1:place> to pull out of the race. Within hours Armijo<\/st1:place> is supposed to be gone and State Representative Hector Balderas is only days away from being the Democratic candidate for State Auditor. Forget about elections, forget about the voter, that\u2019s the way Bill Richardson wants it and that\u2019s the way it is…\u201d<\/p>\n

Burgos<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> goes on to write that the only difference between the two situations is, \u201cunlike last time, this time it\u2019s all true.\u201d<\/p>\n
