But make no mistake\u2026 it\u2019s a massive new tax.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">There\u2019s a fact check on the ad that you can read <a href=\"http:\/\/mediamattersaction.org\/factcheck\/200907010001\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Here\u2019s the political reality: Teague is likely to be among the handful of House Democrats who will be most heavily targeted in next year\u2019s election, and the fact that the NRCC is on him almost a year before the primary is proof of that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Many Republicans think they never should have lost the 2nd Congressional District seat to Teague last year. No Republican has stepped up to challenge him yet, but that\u2019s only because all the others are waiting to see whether former GOP U.S. Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Steve_Pearce\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Pearce<\/a> decides to try to regain the seat or run for governor next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Make no mistake: Regardless of whether Pearce challenges Teague, this will be one of the most hotly contested House races next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It\u2019s already getting a bit contentious. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.democracyfornewmexico.com\/democracy_for_new_mexico\/2009\/07\/more-on-the-teabagger-crowd-at-teagues-event-in-roswell.html\" target=\"_blank\">Democracy for New Mexico<\/a> has the scoop on a group of people who showed up at a Teague event in Roswell and booed him when he said he thought most of his constituents also would have voted for the energy bill.
