Gov.) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dianedenish.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Diane Denish<\/a>,\u201d the newspaper quoted him as saying about the already announced 2010 gubernatorial candidate. \u201cI have no ambitions beyond that. I\u2019m not aiming to be a (U.S.) senator or governor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ortiz y Pino is the third Democrat to jump into the race. Santa Fe County Sheriff <a href=\"http:\/\/sheriffgregsolano.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Greg Solano<\/a> and State Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SLOPE\" target=\"_blank\">Linda Lopez<\/a>, D-Albuquerque, have also announced their candidacies. Others considering entering the race for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor are state Auditor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saonm.org\/about-hector-balderas\" target=\"_blank\">Hector Balderas<\/a>, New Mexico State University Regent <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2009\/04\/nmsu-regent-may-run-for-lieutenant.html\">Javier Gonzales<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrcog-nm.gov\/content\/view\/233\/269\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lawrence Rael<\/a>, who heads the Mid-Region Council of Governments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2010 Democratic primary race for lieutenant governor got its third official candidate today when The Santa Fe New Mexican reported that state Sen.
