The reason for her medical leave was not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Salcido said her assistant, Lydia Chaparro, will keep the office open to update open cases. Salcido said new cases will either have to wait until she returns or be filed in Third Judicial District Court. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Although the Do\u00f1a Ana County Clerk\u2019s Office will continue to issue marriage licenses, couples wanting to get married by a judge during Salcido\u2019s absence will have to seek assistance from judges in other jurisdictions or await her return.
