{"id":4545,"date":"2009-05-08T11:01:00","date_gmt":"2009-05-08T17:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2009\/05\/coverage-of-public-records-lawsuit-against-nmfa\/"},"modified":"2009-05-08T11:01:00","modified_gmt":"2009-05-08T17:01:00","slug":"coverage-of-public-records-lawsuit-against-nmfa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2009\/05\/coverage-of-public-records-lawsuit-against-nmfa\/","title":{"rendered":"Coverage of public-records lawsuit against NMFA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">There\u2019s been some pretty good media coverage in the last week of <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2009\/04\/lawsuit-seeks-release-of-gripgate.html\">my company\u2019s lawsuit<\/a> against the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmfa.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Mexico Finance Authority<\/a> (NMFA), and I wanted to share it with you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">In case you missed the news, Haussamen Publications has filed a lawsuit seeking a court order to force the NMFA to release copies of subpoenas it has received in the federal probe of allegations of pay to play in the Richardson administration. Though the governor\u2019s office has released a similar subpoena, the NMFA has refused.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Newspaper coverage of the lawsuit has come from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.santafenewmexican.com\/Local%20News\/Pay-to-play-investigation-Blogger-sues-Finance-Authority-over-r\" target=\"_blank\">The Santa Fe New Mexican\u2019s Steve Terrell<\/a> and an <a href=\"http:\/\/hosted.ap.org\/dynamic\/stories\/N\/NM_RECORDS_LAWSUIT_NMOL-?SITE=NMSAN&amp;SECTION=HOME&amp;TEMPLATE=DEFAULT\" target=\"_blank\">Associated Press article<\/a> that ran in the Las Cruces Sun-News, Albuquerque Journal, on The New Mexican\u2019s Web site and in other print and online publications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">There\u2019s also been some radio coverage from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicbroadcasting.net\/krwg\/news.newsmain?action=article&amp;ARTICLE_ID=1502870\" target=\"_blank\">KRWG-FM\u2019s Evan Woodward<\/a> in Las Cruces and <a href=\"http:\/\/kunm.org\/news\/current\/index.php?id=EkuEVuElVuNDiiFYHF\" target=\"_blank\">KUNM-FM\u2019s Julie LaJeunesse<\/a> in Albuquerque.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The first response from NMFA that I\u2019ve seen came in Woodward\u2019s report:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cWe are fully cooperating with the department of justice in their investigation,\u201d the agency said in a statement released to KRWG. \u201cNMFA is providing full disclosure and complying with the Department of Justice\u2019s direction not to impede or compromise their investigation in any manner.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There\u2019s been some pretty good media coverage in the last week of my company\u2019s lawsuit against the New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA), and I wanted to share it with you.
