Richardson now says he doesn\u2019t know whether he will sign it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I wrote that it may take \u201ca great deal of public pressure\u201d to convince the governor to sign the bill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cBy the way, the governor told me to let you know that if you really think a \u2018great deal of public pressure\u2019 is needed for him to sign the bill, this bill is in real trouble,\u201d Gallegos wrote in an e-mail. \u201cOutside of the media interest, we have had very little public interest in the bill. One person met with the governor, we got four e-mails and some phone calls. I also requested and received input from Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SFELD\" target=\"_blank\">(Dede) Feldman<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Feldman, D-Albuquerque, was the sponsor of a mirror version of the bill currently awaiting action by the governor &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/_session.aspx?Chamber=H&amp;LegType=B&amp;LegNo=393&amp;year=09\" target=\"_blank\">House Bill 393<\/a>, sponsored by Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=HCERV\" target=\"_blank\">Joseph Cervantes<\/a>, D-Las Cruces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">For those who might be interested in contacting the governor to express their opinions on this or any other bill awaiting action by him, the phone number for the governor\u2019s office is (505) 476-2200.
