Bill Richardson all but admitted he\u2019s running for president during a speech in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">New   Hampshire<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> on Thursday, according to an article in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/481365nm08-04-06.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Albuquerque Journal<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">At least, that\u2019s how I\u2019m interpreting his comments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cYou\u2019re probably wondering, \u2018Why is the governor of <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> here?\u2019\u201d <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> said during one of six public appearances Thursday. \u201cNow, I\u2019ve got to be careful because a reporter from the Albuquerque Journal is watching me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> then reminded the group of about 50 people that he\u2019s running for re-election in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> and must win that race before entering another.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cIf I decide to run (for president) \u2013 I\u2019ve made no decision \u2013 where\u2019s the Journal guy?\u201d <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> said to the group. \u201cI have a re-election for governor of <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> and that has to come first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Richardson, the chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, has three additional appearances in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">New Hampshire<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Has his probable presidential run become so accepted as fact that he\u2019s willing to tease reporters about it? What would he have said if the Journal reporter wasn\u2019t in the room?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I guess we\u2019ll never know.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> was officially raising money for candidates in <st1:state st=\"on\">New Hampshire<\/st1:state> in his role as head of the governors association before he attends the National Governors Association\u2019s annual meeting in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">South Carolina<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> this weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">But, according to the Journal, he was asked several times throughout the day if he\u2019s running for president. Richardson said each time he hadn\u2019t made up his mind, then \u201ctouted his credentials on foreign policy and energy \u2013 two issues sure to be critical to the 2008 campaign for the White House,\u201d the Journal article states. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gov.
