It was tabled on a vote of 3-2, with several members of the committee absent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Voting in favor of tabling the bill &#8212; and effectively killing it &#8212; were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SDURA\" target=\"_blank\">Dianna Duran<\/a>, R-Tularosa, Minority Leader <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SINGL\" target=\"_blank\">Stuart Ingle<\/a>, R-Portales, and President Pro Tem <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SJENT\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Jennings<\/a>, D-Roswell. Those voting against the motion to table the bill were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SFELD\" target=\"_blank\">Dede Feldman<\/a>, D-Albuquerque, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/lcs\/legdetails.aspx?SPONCODE=SWIRT\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Wirth<\/a>, D-Santa Fe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Keller had touted the bill as a serious attempt to end the pay-to-play culture in state government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate Rules Committee considered one ethics-reform bill today, and it sent that bill to the trash.
