Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/gov.ca.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/a> is into webcasting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">His office webcasts live audio and video of his news conferences and other events. And it\u2019s all archived on his government Web site so people can watch it later. Check it out by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/gov.ca.gov\/multimedia\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It made me think: In New Mexico, we\u2019re still trying to get the state <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Legislature<\/a> to webcast audio and video of its proceedings, but with the Legislature, we\u2019re at least moving in that direction. What if Gov. <a href=\"http:\/\/governor.state.nm.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Richardson\u2019s<\/a> news conferences and other major events were all webcast and archived online as well?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">How about it, guv?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In doing research for a column published earlier today about the economy and the state of affairs in California, I came across something cool: Calif.
