{"id":4194,"date":"2009-01-30T15:52:00","date_gmt":"2009-01-30T21:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2009\/01\/school-board-property-tax-vote-is-tuesday\/"},"modified":"2009-01-30T15:52:00","modified_gmt":"2009-01-30T21:52:00","slug":"school-board-property-tax-vote-is-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2009\/01\/school-board-property-tax-vote-is-tuesday\/","title":{"rendered":"School board, property tax vote is Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">With all that\u2019s been happening on the state and federal level, I have completely neglected in recent weeks to write about the school board elections in Do\u00f1a Ana County, as well as property tax questions that will appear on the ballot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">So, on Tuesday, voters in the Las Cruces, Gadsden and Hatch Valley school districts will go to the polls to elect new board members. Voters in all districts will also be asked to weigh in on whether to continue an already-existing property tax to provide $20 million for the Do\u00f1a Ana Community College. And voters in Hatch will be asked to continue a property tax that would provide almost $4 million for school renovations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The last day to vote early and absentee is today. Not every board position in each district is up for election.
