With a group of primarily Republicans in opposition and negotiating for concessions from the auto union in exchange for their support, the bill could change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cAs we speak, the Senate is expected to have a cloture vote Friday on the House-passed bill.  While it\u2019s not a perfect proposal, Sen. Bingaman supports it,\u201d spokeswoman Jude McCartin said today. \u201cI should note, however, that negotiations continue and that things are still up in the air.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The office of U.S. Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/domenici.senate.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pete Domenici<\/a>, R-N.M., has not responded to a request for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. Sen.
