Trevor Loy, founder of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flywheelventures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flywheel Ventures<\/a>, will lead Denish\u2019s government efficiency and finance team. Alex Romero, who has worked in the financial industry for 30 years, will lead her economic stability team. Matt Martinez, vice president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhccnm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Hispanic Cultural Center<\/a> board, will lead the healthy families and communities team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"> Maria Griego-Raby, a member of the state <a href=\"http:\/\/board.nmdfa.state.nm.us\/content.asp?CustComKey=292318&amp;CategoryKey=294748&amp;pn=Page&amp;DomName=board.nmdfa.state.nm.us\" target=\"_blank\">Board of Finance<\/a>, will lead the safety and security team. Joe Garcia, chairman of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.19pueblos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">All Indian Pueblo Council<\/a> and president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncai.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Congress of American Indians<\/a>, will lead the energy and environment team. Espa\u00f1ola Mayor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofespanola.org\/mayor-biography.html\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Maestas<\/a> will lead the transportation and infrastructure team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cEvery New Mexican can feel invested and represented in the transition. Citizens from around the state will be called on to serve with these leaders on committees,\u201d Denish was to say today at a news conference in Albuquerque announcing the team, according to prepared remarks released by her office. \u201cThey will represent every county in the state to ensure that every area statewide has representation in recommendations and ideas that come forward to strengthen New Mexico.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Denish said she\u2019s \u201cproud to be a part of history\u201d during this \u201cunprecedented transition of leadership.\u201d She\u2019s about to fill the vacancy created because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.change.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Barack Obama<\/a> has nominated <a href=\"http:\/\/governor.state.nm.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Richardson<\/a> to be his commerce secretary. She will be the first female governor in the state\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The transition team, Denish said, according to the prepared remarks, will \u201cdevelop recommendations and priorities in areas that are vital to moving the state forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cWith this transition comes opportunity &#8212; the opportunity to reach out to some of our state\u2019s brightest and most effective leaders to assess New Mexico\u2019s strengths and to generate new and innovative ideas,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soon-to-be Gov.
