Even as we begin to close shop and pack away our supplies and materials, I just want to thank you,\u201d White wrote. \u201cWith hope and optimism for the future, I want to congratulate Martin Heinrich on his campaign\u2019s victory. It is time for us to come together as a community, a state, and a country behind our newly-elected leaders, like Martin, to solve our shared problems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SRj5Esj-tsI\/AAAAAAAAJUU\/nT7G-0jY-Ng\/s1600-h\/Tinsley,+Ed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 120px; height: 160px;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SRj5Esj-tsI\/AAAAAAAAJUU\/nT7G-0jY-Ng\/s200\/Tinsley,+Ed.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267233623286658754\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.edtinsleyforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Tinsley<\/a>, the GOP\u2019s 2nd District candidate, chose a different message after losing to Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harryforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Harry Teague<\/a> by 11 points. He launched into a lengthy explanation for his loss on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edtinsleyforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">his Web site<\/a>. He said key factors included big losses in Las Cruces and the upper Rio Grande Valley and the fact that he was outspent by about $3.3 million by Teague and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dccc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThe Obama Tsunami, spearheaded by Governor Richardson, hit New Mexico with a solid force,\u201d Tinsley wrote. \u201cAll three Congressional seats, as well as our Senate seat, went to the Democrats by substantial margins. Three of the seats have been held by Republican legislators for decades.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">As is customary, both candidates thanked their supporters. White ended his note with a word about his continued work as sheriff of Bernalillo County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cAs for future plans, for now I plan to strap-on my gun belt and go catch some bad guys,\u201d White wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Tinsley wrote that he has \u201ca big stake in our country\u2019s future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cA lost election does not change this, but rather it amplifies the need to work harder to preserve those values, ideals and convictions we all share,\u201d he wrote. \u201cA new era has come to New Mexico, as well as the rest of our country. I will continue to be an advocate. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be your Congressional Candidate. It has been an honor; one that I will never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Republican U.S. Senate candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforpearce.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Pearce<\/a> and 3rd District candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daneast4congress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dan East<\/a> have not posted notes on their Web sites since losing their races.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SRj5FLlqvTI\/AAAAAAAAJUk\/vLER0_J_Dng\/s1600-h\/Miller,+Carol.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 120px; height: 160px;\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SRj5FLlqvTI\/AAAAAAAAJUk\/vLER0_J_Dng\/s200\/Miller,+Carol.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267233631615237426\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>The other candidate who lost a congressional race in New Mexico last week, independent 3rd District hopeful <a href=\"http:\/\/carolmillercongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carol Miller<\/a>, responded to her loss by <a href=\"http:\/\/datelineojorojo.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">starting a blog<\/a>. On it, she\u2019s already criticized Obama and promised to keep up the fight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThe election yesterday is hopefully a first step for change as promised,\u201d she wrote on Wednesday. \u201cNow the work of making change &#8212; the right kind of change &#8212; begins.
