Fischmann has 13,131 votes, or 51.1 percent of the vote, to Rawson\u2019s 12,587 votes, or 48.9 percent. The new tally, which includes Do\u00f1a Ana County\u2019s provisional ballots, was first reported by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lcsun-news.com\/las_cruces-news\/ci_10938499\" target=\"_blank\">Las Cruces Sun-News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Do\u00f1a Ana County Board of Commissioners is set to meet Wednesday to certify the county\u2019s election results. The outcomes of no races changed as a result of the provisional ballots that were considered over the weekend. Before the provisionals were counted, Fischmann led Rawson by 505 votes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SReq_e-nS6I\/AAAAAAAAJT0\/9oIg0uftAh0\/s1600-h\/Rawson,+Lee.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 121px; height: 160px;\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SReq_e-nS6I\/AAAAAAAAJT0\/9oIg0uftAh0\/s200\/Rawson,+Lee.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266866296857250722\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Before the election, Rawson raised concerns about what he characterized as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/news\/state\/241112365131newsstate10-24-08.htm\" target=\"_blank\">potential voter fraud<\/a>, naming 32 people he said he believes have been registered multiple times to vote. And there\u2019s still the issue of how many people in the Senate district requested absentee ballots but ended up not voting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The county didn\u2019t comply during the election cycle with a law requiring that absentee ballots be mailed out within 24 hours of the office receiving requests for the ballots and, as of Tuesday morning, <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/11\/absentee-ballot-snafu-how-many-wont-get.html\">3,844 people<\/a> who had requested absentee ballots had not yet voted. Do\u00f1a Ana County plans to have a final tally of the number of people who requested absentee ballots but weren\u2019t able to or didn\u2019t vote in the election by Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Rawson has given no indication of whether he plans any sort of legal action.
