Some 5 percent remained undecided in the survey, which was conducted Tuesday through Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The big reason for Obama\u2019s lead: He was ahead by a whopping 22 percentage points in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/elex\/02104711elex11-02-08.htm\" target=\"_blank\">In the U.S. Senate race<\/a>, the Journal poll had Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomudall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Udall<\/a> leading Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleforpearce.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Pearce<\/a> by 14 points, 53 percent to 39 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/elex\/02104724elex11-02-08.htm\" target=\"_blank\">In the state\u2019s three U.S. House races<\/a>, the Journal poll had Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.martinheinrich.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Martin Heinrich<\/a> leading Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darrenwhiteforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Darren White<\/a> in the 1st District race by 4 points, 47 percent to 43 percent; Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harryforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Harry Teague<\/a> leading Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edtinsleyforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Tinsley<\/a> in the 2nd District race by 4 points, 45 percent to 41 percent; and Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.benrlujan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ben Ray Luj\u00e1n<\/a> leading in a three-way race in the 3rd District race with 51 percent to Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daneast4congress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dan East\u2019s<\/a> 23 percent and independent <a href=\"http:\/\/carolmillercongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carol Miller\u2019s<\/a> 12 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Journal\u2019s Web site doesn\u2019t include the sample sizes and margins of error for its polls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">One other poll to tell you about: A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.surveyusa.com\/client\/PollReport.aspx?g=95bf6797-cf1e-44ee-8718-0b022d172dc7\" target=\"_blank\">SurveyUSA poll<\/a> released Saturday had Obama leading McCain by 7 points, 52 percent to 45 percent, with 2 percent undecided.
