He was fined $100 and sentenced to a year on probation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand and am aware of the impact this case had not just on me, but my family,\u201d he told NMPolitics.net. \u201cI will continue to serve my community and continue with my life\u00a0knowing\u00a0the\u00a0seriousness\u00a0of drinking and driving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have the\u00a0dauntlessness\u00a0to admit guilt, and will and have shown\u00a0remorse\u00a0for what I have done,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dailey had faced charges of aggravated drunken driving, improper lane usage and lack of due care stemming from the September incident that resulted in his arrest in Las Cruces while he was a candidate for the District 4 seat on the city council.
