\"\"<\/a>Sunland Park<\/a> will be the site of Hillary Clinton\u2019s<\/a> Saturday rally for Barack Obama<\/a> in southern New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>, the campaign announced tonight in a news release. <\/p>\n

The release stated that additional details will be announced at a later time.<\/p>\n

The city is some 40 miles south of Las Cruces<\/st1:city>, so Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> will avoid being in the same metropolitan area as John McCain<\/a>, who is holding a rally on Saturday in Mesilla. A local McCain staffer told the Las Cruces Sun-News<\/a> that the Mesilla rally will begin at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

In 2007, the Census estimated that Sunland<\/st1:placename> Park<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place> had a population of 14,225 people. It is 96 percent Hispanic, and 93 percent \u201cspeak a language other than English at home,\u201d according to the Census.<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Clinton<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> has a full schedule on Saturday. She plans to be in Utah<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> for a 10:30 a.m. rally. From noon to 3 p.m., according to KVIA-TV<\/a> in El Paso<\/st1:city>, she\u2019s scheduled to appear in Cantillo, which is in Texas<\/st1:state> but close to Sunland<\/st1:placename> Park<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>, for an event at Salones La Mision Party Hall, 700 Anthony Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear whether that event is for Obama. Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> is also campaigning around the country on behalf of House and Senate candidates.<\/p>\n

And, according to Newspaper Tree<\/a>, Clinton<\/st1:city><\/st1:place> will hold an invitation-only fundraiser at the El Paso Country Club<\/a> for U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes<\/a>, D-TX, on Saturday.
