{"id":38671,"date":"2012-04-04T11:08:16","date_gmt":"2012-04-04T17:08:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/?p=38671"},"modified":"2012-04-04T11:08:29","modified_gmt":"2012-04-04T17:08:29","slug":"poll-shows-little-change-in-u-s-senate-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2012\/04\/poll-shows-little-change-in-u-s-senate-race\/","title":{"rendered":"Poll shows little change in U.S. Senate race"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_38195\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignright\" style=\"max-width: 270px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-38195 \" title=\"US Capitol\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/US-Capitol2.jpg\" alt=\"The U.S. Capitol building (Photo by Heath Haussamen)\" width=\"270\" height=\"213\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The U.S. Capitol building (Photo by Heath Haussamen)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A new, independent poll has Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.martinheinrich.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Martin Heinrich<\/a> with a slight lead over Republican <a href=\"http:\/\/heatherwilson.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Heather Wilson<\/a> in a potential U.S. Senate race matchup, and Wilson virtually tied with Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/hectorbalderas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hector Balderas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/elections\/election_2012\/election_2012_senate_elections\/new_mexico\/election_2012_new_mexico_senate\" target=\"_blank\">Rasmussen Reports poll<\/a> has Heinrich leading Wilson 46 percent to 42 percent, with 7 percent picking \u201cother\u201d and 6 percent undecided. It has Wilson leading Balderas 43 percent to 42 percent, with 5 percent choosing \u201cother\u201d and 9 percent undecided.<\/p>\n<p>Heinrich\u2019s lead over Wilson and Wilson\u2019s lead over Balderas are within the margin of error.
