{"id":3842,"date":"2008-10-13T23:05:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-14T05:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/10\/new-attack-ads-hit-the-airwaves\/"},"modified":"2008-10-13T23:05:00","modified_gmt":"2008-10-14T05:05:00","slug":"new-attack-ads-hit-the-airwaves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/10\/new-attack-ads-hit-the-airwaves\/","title":{"rendered":"New attack ads hit the airwaves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Republican 2nd Congressional District candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edtinsleyforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Tinsley<\/a> and Democratic 1st District candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.martinheinrich.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Martin Heinrich<\/a> are the targets of new television ads from outside groups.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Here\u2019s the new ad from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dccc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee<\/a> slamming Tinsley:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><object width=\"420\" height=\"340\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/Peusdyc1gWU&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/Peusdyc1gWU&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"420\" height=\"340\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cEd Tinsley likes to talk about federal waste, but millionaire restaurant owner Ed Tinsley helped himself to $50,000 in federal subsidies for his multimillion dollar family ranch,\u201d the ad\u2019s narrator states. \u201cObviously, having taxpayers feather his bed is more important than raising the minimum wage or paying his own employees a living wage, because what\u2019s good for Ed Tinsley is bad for <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And here\u2019s the ad from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gopnm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Republican Party of New Mexico<\/a> attacking Heinrich:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><object width=\"420\" height=\"340\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/wwbC5qRYEdQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/wwbC5qRYEdQ&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" width=\"420\" height=\"340\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cIt\u2019s a disgrace. Martin Heinrich smears a decorated soldier and lawman,\u201d the narrator says, referring to <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/09\/heinrich-internal-poll-has-him-leading.html\">Heinrich\u2019s recent ad<\/a> attacking Republican opponent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darrenwhiteforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Darren White<\/a>. \u201cBut it\u2019s not the first time. Martin Heinrich refused to condemn an ad that called our American general a traitor during a time of war. And Martin Heinrich even promised to block funding for body armor, bullets and other critical equipment for our combat troops, unless they\u2019re pulled from <st1:country-region st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Iraq<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>.
