Each candidate was asked to submit video responses to five questions that were submitted from YouTube users.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">You can watch the Udall\/Pearce forum by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/youchoose08\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. It was posted by YouTube this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The most interesting tidbits I found came in listening to each candidate answer a question about his opponent\u2019s best traits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SOzr5KPgtVI\/AAAAAAAAI-M\/KtTaNBiyEmQ\/s1600-h\/Pearce,+Steve.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SOzr5KPgtVI\/AAAAAAAAI-M\/KtTaNBiyEmQ\/s200\/Pearce,+Steve.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5254834232469009746\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>\u201cEven though we disagree on policies, I think Steve cares about <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>,\u201d Udall, the Democrat, says in response to the question. \u201cSteve holds firm in his beliefs, which I respect. Steve Pearce is a successful businessman and really pursuing the American dream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pearce, the Republican, gave a longer answer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThe thing that people say most about my opponent is that he\u2019s very likeable, and I would agree. I deal with Tom on a day-to-day basis in the Congress and we get along well together,\u201d Pearce says. \u201cWe come from different political viewpoints, but I will compliment Tom on standing up for his values. Again, we vote very rarely in the same vein, but I can\u2019t fault him for wavering on his beliefs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201c\u2026The things that are nice about my opponent is that he\u2019s a genuine nice guy. I get along well with him. I consider him a friend, somebody that I would look to in times of difficulty, and I think he would look to me in times of difficulty,\u201d Pearce says. \u201cSecondly, he and I believe completely differently on government, but he\u2019s passionate about the way he believes. He fights for his beliefs, and I can\u2019t fault him for that. I just say that we have different votes and that\u2019s what we campaign on.
