{"id":3750,"date":"2008-09-23T11:53:00","date_gmt":"2008-09-23T17:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/09\/2nd-district-candidates-agree-to-another-debate\/"},"modified":"2008-09-23T11:53:00","modified_gmt":"2008-09-23T17:53:00","slug":"2nd-district-candidates-agree-to-another-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/09\/2nd-district-candidates-agree-to-another-debate\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd District candidates agree to another debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SNktg71_ztI\/AAAAAAAAIxU\/xplxkguEAz4\/s1600-h\/Teague,+Harry.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SNktg71_ztI\/AAAAAAAAIxU\/xplxkguEAz4\/s200\/Teague,+Harry.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249276884520259282\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>The 2nd Congressional District candidates have agreed to another debate.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Following Republican candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edtinsleyforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Tinsley\u2019s<\/a> challenge <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/09\/tinsley-wants-another-debate-to-focus.html\">last week<\/a> that Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harryforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Harry Teague<\/a> agree to an additional debate focused entirely on the economy, the two candidates agreed on Monday to an Oct. 23 debate that will be televised on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kobtv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">KOB-TV<\/a>, Tinsley said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cOur voters will now have an opportunity to judge for themselves who is best to look out for their interests on Capitol Hill, where negative, partisan attacks aren\u2019t going to get the job done,\u201d Tinsley said in the release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SNktmStRcYI\/AAAAAAAAIxc\/XL_9EwhESAs\/s1600-h\/Tinsley,+Ed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SNktmStRcYI\/AAAAAAAAIxc\/XL_9EwhESAs\/s200\/Tinsley,+Ed.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5249276976557027714\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>\u201cWe face the largest overhaul of government regulators since the Great Depression,\u201d said the statement from Tinsley&#8217;s campaign. \u201c&#8230; When a new president and Congress are sworn in just four months from now, Ed Tinsley will be ready on day one to push for reform of our nation\u2019s financial sector.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The candidates had already agreed to a televised debate that will be held Oct. 19 in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> and is sponsored by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.koat.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">KOAT-TV<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Albuquerque Journal<\/a>. They\u2019ll be in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> on Oct. 9 for a forum sponsored by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmfirst.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Mexico First<\/a> and televised by <a href=\"http:\/\/krwg-tv.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">KRWG-TV<\/a>. And both plan to participate in a forum on Oct. 21 in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Hobbs<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> sponsored by the local <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hobbschamber.org\/html_2002\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">chamber of commerce<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2nd Congressional District candidates have agreed to another debate.
