Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>You can view District Judge James Hall\u2019s two proposals <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/Sessions\/11Redistricting\/199999\/HD_District_Court_1_Packet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmlegis.gov\/Sessions\/11Redistricting\/199999\/HD_District_Court_2_Packet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqjournal.com\/main\/2012\/02\/20\/news\/judges-latest-house-redistricting-maps-include-proposal-to-consolidate-lujan-seat.html\" target=\"_blank\">the Albuquerque Journal<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cA judge is proposing two alternate approaches to redrawing the map of 70 state House districts, including a plan to consolidate the seat now held by House Speaker Ben Luj\u00e1n, D-N\u00e1mbe, with that of another longtime Democratic lawmaker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLuj\u00e1n\u2019s seat wasn\u2019t in play earlier as the Legislature, and then a state district court, came up with new maps. But Luj\u00e1n\u2019s recent announcement that he has advanced lung cancer and will not run for re-election apparently has changed the terrain.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this month, the state\u2019s high court <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2012\/02\/high-court-rejects-house-redistricting-plan-guv-to-appeal\/\" target=\"_blank\">rejected the plan Hall previously approved<\/a> that was proposed by the governor. Hall has until Feb. 27 to finalize a new plan.
