You can find the pages by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stevepearcemedia.com\/udallsvote.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomudall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Udall<\/a> (Pearce\u2019s Democratic opponent) will no longer be able to hide from his long public record of opposing drilling, building more refineries and investments in new nuclear energy. We are asking directly and publicly for Udall to stand up and defend the votes he made against the interests of <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> and the country,\u201d Pearce said in a news release announcing the new ads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The release states that the ads \u201care the first three in a series of ads due this fall that contrast votes made by Pearce and Udall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:130%;\">Pearce slams <st1:place st=\"on\">Redford<\/st1:place><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Meanwhile, actor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000602\/\" target=\"_blank\">Robert Redford<\/a> is attending a fundraiser for Udall today in Corrales, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roswell-record.com\/main.asp?FromHome=1&amp;TypeID=1&amp;ArticleID=31846&amp;SectionID=51&amp;SubSectionID=124\" target=\"_blank\">The Associated Press<\/a> is reporting. To get into the private reception, people must contribute $250. A photo with <st1:place st=\"on\">Redford<\/st1:place> will cost attendees $1,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pearce also took aim at <st1:place st=\"on\">Redford<\/st1:place> in a separate news release, calling him \u201ca great actor but a bad sign for all New Mexicans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cRobert Redford is a perfect example of the kind of ultraliberal activist that Tom Udall has allied himself with over the years,\u201d Pearce said. \u201cVoters need to be aware that Redford\u2019s support signifies more than just <st1:place st=\"on\">Hollywood<\/st1:place> star power for Tom Udall. It also signifies that Udall supports <st1:place st=\"on\">Redford<\/st1:place>\u2019s ideals and values, which go against the needs of the working-class people of this state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Udall, the release states, is a trustee on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrdc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Resources Defense Council<\/a>. The group, according to its Web site, uses \u201claw, science and the support of 1.2 million members and online activists to protect the planet\u2019s wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.\u201d Pearce\u2019s news release called it \u201can extreme environmental group that has opposed domestic drilling time and time again, despite the fact that Americans are desperate for relief at the pump.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Pearce is out with three 15-second television ads that focus on energy and taxes.
