{"id":366,"date":"2006-07-12T16:20:00","date_gmt":"2006-07-12T22:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2006\/07\/elections-task-force-to-hold-public-hearings\/"},"modified":"2006-07-12T16:20:00","modified_gmt":"2006-07-12T22:20:00","slug":"elections-task-force-to-hold-public-hearings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2006\/07\/elections-task-force-to-hold-public-hearings\/","title":{"rendered":"Elections task force to hold public hearings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The first of four public hearings held by the elections task force appointed by the Do\u00f1a Ana County Board of Commissioners will be July 22 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The meeting will be in the commission chambers at the county\u2019s government center, located at <st1:street st=\"on\"><st1:address st=\"on\">845 North Motel Boulevard<\/st1:address><\/st1:street>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The task force plans three additional public hearings \u2013 one in Hatch, one in <st1:placename st=\"on\">Sunland<\/st1:placename> <st1:placetype st=\"on\">Park<\/st1:placetype>, and the fourth in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> \u2013 to solicit public input about the elections process. The task force is also meeting weekly to discuss what its members are learning and review policies and procedures in the county\u2019s elections bureau.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Members elected Republican Maria Silva Sutton and Democrat Lynn Ellins as co-chairs at their first meeting, held last week.
