Or was he simply the flavor of the week in a wildly shifting GOP primary at the right moment to win the first state\u2019s contest?<\/p>\n<p>At the time of publication of this post, Santorum leads <a href=\"http:\/\/mittromney.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mitt Romney<\/a> by four votes (you read that right) out of more than 120,000 cast with only a fraction of 1 percent left to be tallied. You might find final results <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/elections\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Lenti has already predicted in a column for NMPolitics.net that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2011\/12\/a-ron-paul-surge-what-surge\/\" target=\"_blank\">Romney will be the GOP nominee<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bostonherald.com\/news\/us_politics\/view\/20220104experts_romney_looking_good_for_gop_nomination\/srvc=home&amp;position=also\" target=\"_blank\">many national pundits agree<\/a>.
