Bill Richardson received an interesting plug from GQ magazine this month.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The July issue\u2019s print edition (it\u2019s not available online) features several probable 2008 presidential contenders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Though polls show Richardson as a nearly non-contender in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, the magazine says Richardson is \u201cthe most likely to end up somewhere on the ticket,\u201d calling him \u201ca natural running mate for a senator who wants to embrace the reform message \u2013 especially his old friend Hillary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/1600\/Clinton%2C%20Hillary.0.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/5892\/2386\/200\/Clinton%2C%20Hillary.0.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Many speculate that <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> wants to be president but is willing to settle for and would make a great running mate for someone like Hillary Clinton \u2013 who polls suggest would secure 40 percent of the vote without much effort but would have a hard time getting the remaining votes needed to win.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Someone like <st1:city st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:city> might deliver the yet-to-be-defined Hispanic vote to someone like <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> and put a Democrat back in the White House, many believe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">But don\u2019t underestimate <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Richardson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>\u2019s chances of being the first name on the Democratic ticket.
