{"id":3393,"date":"2008-06-23T21:34:00","date_gmt":"2008-06-24T03:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/06\/new-gop-web-site-targets-hispanics\/"},"modified":"2008-06-23T21:34:00","modified_gmt":"2008-06-24T03:34:00","slug":"new-gop-web-site-targets-hispanics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/06\/new-gop-web-site-targets-hispanics\/","title":{"rendered":"New GOP Web site targets Hispanics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SGBr12FWRVI\/AAAAAAAAGDI\/rOqxc62F8hM\/s1600-h\/GOP.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SGBr12FWRVI\/AAAAAAAAGDI\/rOqxc62F8hM\/s200\/GOP.JPG\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5215286941290218834\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The state\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gopnm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Republican Party<\/a> has launched a new social-networking Web site, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicalvida.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">politicalvida.com<\/a>, aimed at providing a forum for Hispanics throughout New Mexico and the United States \u201cto gather and exchange ideas about politics,\u201d according to a news release from the party.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cAs the Hispanic population continues to grow in states like California, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas, Political Vida will serve as a unique vehicle for the exchange of  ideas between younger Hispanic voters,\u201d the state party\u2019s Spanish communications director, Ivette Barajas, said in a news release. \u201cI\u2019m excited that the Republican Party is honoring its commitment to engage the Hispanic community in a dialogue about the future of our state and country by offering a place for that open discussion to take place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Political Vida is a user-driven Web site that offers various features, including a collection of videos and a frequently updated list of postings from Hispanic bloggers from around the nation.
