He had no other comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Officially, the newest Associated Press tally has Teague winning by 1,641 votes with several <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Do\u00f1a<\/st1:placename>  <st1:placename st=\"on\">Ana<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">County<\/st1:placename><\/st1:place> precincts among those yet to be tallied. But those results do not include final numbers from <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Cibola<\/st1:placename>  <st1:placetype st=\"on\">County<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place> that increased Teague\u2019s lead and apparently made the McCamley campaign believe Teague had an insurmountable lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Teague campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">Update, 1:20 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A news release from the Teague campaign pointed out that he had strong wins in eastern counties and said his \u201cdecisive victories in rural communities put him in a strong position to attract independent and Republican voters and to win in November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cNow it\u2019s time for us to unite and move toward victory in November,\u201d Teague said. \u201cWe have an historic opportunity to change the direction things are moving in southern <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New   Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>, and if we come together, we can be the engine of change. Let\u2019s work together to make that happen and provide affordable health care for everyone, improve our schools for our children and bring our brave men and women home from Iraq as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">As I\u2019ve disclosed in the past, I\u2019m friends with McCamley.
