McCamley also picked up the backing of the Steelworkers Local 9424 union in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las   Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The union\u2019s president, David Carrillo, announced that the union had endorsed McCamley in a letter published in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lcsun-news.com\/opinion\/ci_9440244\" target=\"_blank\">Las Cruces Sun-News<\/a> on Sunday. The union represents 330 city blue-collar employees in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Las Cruces<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, according to the letter that endorsed a number of local candidates. According to the letter, the union believes McCamley and the other candidates it endorsed \u201chave shown their commitment to our state and our community.
