That brings the total the group has spent on TV ads and mailers for Newman to just under $1 million &#8211; $989,894.51.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/realtors-change-dynamic-of-gop-cd2.html\">As I\u2019ve reported<\/a>, that money has dramatically changed the dynamic of the 2nd District GOP primary, in which Newman wasn\u2019t considered by many to be a strong contender until the Realtors got involved. It appears that the new money will go to producing and airing a new TV ad promoting Newman. <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/realtors-running-tv-ads-pushing-newman.html\">Here\u2019s a link<\/a> to the ad they\u2019ve already been running.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Of the newest money, the vast majority, $392,587.35, is going to Strategic Media Services for \u201cTV ad costs.\u201d Another $12,000 is going to Upgrade Films for \u201cTV production costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Interestingly, I found on the site <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opensecrets.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">OpenSecrets.org<\/a> that the Realtors\u2019 PAC gives fairly evenly to Democrats and Republicans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">Update, 11:35 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Here\u2019s the new Realtors ad:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><object width=\"420\" height=\"351\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/1XspwJzKOv8&amp;hl=en\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/1XspwJzKOv8&amp;hl=en\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" width=\"420\" height=\"351\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Association of Realtors Political Action Committee has put another $400,000 into promoting the candidacy of Republican 2nd Congressional District hopeful Monty Newman.
