{"id":3235,"date":"2008-05-15T23:13:00","date_gmt":"2008-05-16T05:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/05\/mccamley-begins-running-his-first-tv-ad\/"},"modified":"2008-05-15T23:13:00","modified_gmt":"2008-05-16T05:13:00","slug":"mccamley-begins-running-his-first-tv-ad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/05\/mccamley-begins-running-his-first-tv-ad\/","title":{"rendered":"McCamley begins running his first TV ad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Democratic 2nd Congressional District candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billmccamley.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bill McCamley<\/a> will begin airing his first TV ad Friday, a 30-second spot called \u201cGravy Train.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Here it is:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><object height=\"351\" width=\"420\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/jM1w2eDLKxQ&amp;hl=en\"><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/jM1w2eDLKxQ&amp;hl=en\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" height=\"351\" width=\"420\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThere is a special-interest gravy train in <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:city st=\"on\">Washington<\/st1:city>, <st1:state st=\"on\">D.C.<\/st1:state><\/st1:place> Money from big oil and drug companies comes in one door, and taxpayer giveaways go right out the other,\u201d he says in the ad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">McCamley talks in the ad about health care and gas prices before saying that he \u201cwill not rest until things change in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> because it is time, finally, to put the middle class ahead of the special interests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ad will begin running Friday in the <st1:city st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:city> television market, which covers the entire district except <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:placename st=\"on\">Do\u00f1a<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">Ana<\/st1:placename> <st1:placename st=\"on\">County<\/st1:placename><\/st1:place>. The campaign touted in the news release the fact that the ad was produced by the firm <a href=\"http:\/\/frcr.biz\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fletcher, Rowley, Chao, Riddle<\/a>, which also created the TV ads for Democrat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.childersforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Travis Childers<\/a>, who won a surprising victory in a conservative Mississippi House district on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cThis ad not only highlights why Bill is running, it clearly shows the passion and energy that he is going to bring to the general election and to <span class=\"yshortcuts\">Washington<\/span> in January,\u201d McCamley campaign spokesman Mike Ward said in the release. \u201cVoters want to see a candidate who stands up for them against the special interests, and this ad focuses on how Bill will do just that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic;\" class=\"MsoNormal\">As I\u2019ve disclosed in the past, I\u2019m friends with McCamley.
