\"\"<\/a>Do\u00f1a Ana County<\/a> will hold three public meetings next week to solicit input on whether it should enter into an agreement with Sierra<\/st1:placename> County<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place> to form a regional spaceport taxing district. <\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The district can be created now that both counties\u2019 voters have agreed to raise the gross receipts tax to help fund the construction of Spaceport America<\/a>. It must be created before the money, which is critical to the spaceport\u2019s future, can be spent.<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Creating the taxing district requires approval by both counties\u2019 commissions.<\/p>\n

The public meetings are as follows:<\/p>\n

\u2022 May 22 at 6 p.m. at the Hatch<\/st1:placename> Valley<\/st1:placetype> Community Center<\/st1:placetype><\/st1:place>, 835 Highway 187<\/a> in Hatch.<\/p>\n

\u2022 May 23 at 8 a.m. at the Do\u00f1a<\/st1:placename> Ana<\/st1:placename> County<\/st1:placename> Government<\/st1:placename> Center<\/st1:placetype>, 845 N. Motel Blvd.<\/a> in Las Cruces<\/st1:city><\/st1:place>. The meeting will be held in the commission chambers.<\/p>\n
