{"id":3185,"date":"2008-05-06T00:02:00","date_gmt":"2008-05-06T06:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/05\/tinsley-unveils-two-new-tv-ads-today\/"},"modified":"2008-05-06T00:02:00","modified_gmt":"2008-05-06T06:02:00","slug":"tinsley-unveils-two-new-tv-ads-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nmpolitics.net\/index\/2008\/05\/tinsley-unveils-two-new-tv-ads-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinsley unveils two new TV ads today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Republican 2nd Congressional District candidate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edtinsleyforcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Tinsley<\/a> is on the air today with two new television ads, and his campaign plans to stay on the air until the June 3 primary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The ads are running in the <st1:city st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:City> media market and on cable television in <st1:placename st=\"on\">Do\u00f1a<\/st1:PlaceName> <st1:placename st=\"on\">Ana<\/st1:PlaceName> <st1:placename st=\"on\">County<\/st1:PlaceName>, the only part of the district not in the <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> market. Tinsley has also been running a commercial on television in <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Roswell<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, which you can see by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/04\/tinsley-to-join-dunn-on-tv-in-cd2.html\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The first of Tinsley\u2019s new ads is similar to the <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Roswell<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> ad, so I\u2019m not going to describe it in detail. The only real difference is the removal of the reference to the oil and gas industry. Here it is:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><object width=\"420\" height=\"351\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/xjp9ZDazaCw&amp;hl=en\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/xjp9ZDazaCw&amp;hl=en\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" width=\"420\" height=\"351\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The second of Tinsley\u2019s new ads, titled \u201cScene of the Crime,\u201d starts with Tinsley standing along a fence on the U.S.-Mexico border. He talks about his support for the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Patriot_act\" target=\"_blank\">Patriot Act<\/a> and says the <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:country-region st=\"on\">United States<\/st1:country-region><\/st1:place> must do \u201cwhatever it takes to seal this border.\u201d That includes, he says, ensuring that people who are here illegally can\u2019t obtain driver\u2019s licenses and not granting them amnesty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Here\u2019s the ad:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><object width=\"420\" height=\"351\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/kMs9fLmHVDY&amp;hl=en\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/kMs9fLmHVDY&amp;hl=en\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" width=\"420\" height=\"351\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican 2nd Congressional District candidate Ed Tinsley is on the air today with two new television ads, and his campaign plans to stay on the air until the June 3 primary.
