His message of change is resonating across all ages, races and economic backgrounds in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New   Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He also said Obama has run a positive campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SB8UZckvrHI\/AAAAAAAAFpM\/vDSNwSFcr98\/s1600-h\/Obama,+Barack.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SB8UZckvrHI\/AAAAAAAAFpM\/vDSNwSFcr98\/s200\/Obama,+Barack.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5196894922408438898\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>\u201cAs I talk to Democrats all over <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>, they are increasingly concerned with the negative tone that the campaign has taken,\u201d the chairman said. \u201cI believe that Senator Obama has presented a positive message of change while continuing to focus on our real opponent \u2013 a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.johnmccain.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">John McCain<\/a> presidency and another four-year term of failed Bush policies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Col\u00f3n said Obama \u201chas run a different campaign \u2013 one that goes beyond the things that divide us and is driven by a commitment to real change that starts at the grassroots level.\u201d He noted <st1:place st=\"on\"><st1:state st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:state><\/st1:place>\u2019s \u201cvery close\u201d election on Feb. 5 \u2013 which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> won \u2013 and said there is a lot of excitement among Democrats. He called both candidates \u201cvery talented.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Expect many to take issue with Col\u00f3n saying Obama has run a positive campaign and taking an apparent shot at his opponent for turning the contest negative. The back-and-forth attacks between both campaigns have come to characterize the primary race in recent months. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The tally now among <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New   Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> superdelegates is six for Clinton, four for Obama and two who have not publicly announced their decisions \u2013 U.S. Rep. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomudall.house.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Udall<\/a> and activist Laurie Weahkee. As <a href=\"http:\/\/haussamen.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/its-tough-to-be-uncommitted.html\">I\u2019ve already written<\/a>, Col\u00f3n has taken some heat from <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> supporters for the selection of Weahkee. Some superdelegates who back <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> have said they suspect Weahkee is an Obama supporter even though she says she hasn\u2019t made a decision. They have accused Col\u00f3n, who was unpledged at the time of Weahkee\u2019s selection on April 26, of breaking party rules.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Expect, now that Col\u00f3n has revealed his support for the other candidate, that the <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Clinton<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> supporters will be even more upset.
