That includes passing a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Foreign_Intelligence_Surveillance_Act\" target=\"_blank\">Foreign Intelligence Surveillance<\/a> (FISA) bill that gives us the ability to listen in on terrorists planning to attack American families here at home or our troops in the field,\u201d Bond said. \u201cHeather Wilson has been a champion on this issue in the House of Representatives, and I look forward to working with her to improve our intelligence laws when she\u2019s elected to the United States Senate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilson, the only female veteran serving in Congress, is a member of the House Permanent Select committee on Intelligence. She is the ranking member on the Subcommittee on Technical and Tactical Intelligence. She served in the Air Force.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson thanked Bond for his support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSenator Bond knows how to win tough elections in tough years, so his endorsement of my campaign this year means a lot to me,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cKit Bond and I have fought tirelessly to force House Democrats to pass a real FISA bill that will protect Americans at home and our troops overseas, and we will keep up that fight until we get it done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilson was endorsed earlier this week by U.S. Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/allard.senate.gov\/public\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wayne Allard<\/a>, R-Colo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heather Wilson received her second endorsement from a U.S. senator today in the GOP primary race for New Mexico\u2019s open Senate seat.
