\"\"<\/a>Republican U.S. Senate candidate Heather Wilson<\/a> unveiled her first radio ad of the campaign today. It\u2019s similar to her recent television ad<\/a> that attacks primary opponent Steve Pearce<\/a> after complaining about him attacking her. <\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The radio ad, which you can listen to by clicking here<\/a>, says Pearce is attacking Wilson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> \u201cbecause on important issues, he\u2019s wrong.\u201d It then goes on to blast Pearce on the now-familiar issues of funding for the Border Patrol, the proposal to tie Iraq war funding to withdrawal deadlines, and their votes on the proposal to mothball Cannon Air Force base.<\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

\u201cThe choice in this race for U.S. Senate is very clear,\u201d Wilson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> said in a news release announcing the radio ad. \u201cRepublicans want to elect a commonsense conservative who can win in November. Steve Pearce is wrong on important issues and he didn\u2019t stand up for New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>. Mr. Pearce has launched a negative campaign to keep from talking about his own record. \u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Meanwhile, GOP 2nd Congressional District candidate Greg Sowards<\/a> unveiled a new radio ad today, a day after he began running his first radio ad<\/a> in Las Cruces.<\/p>\n

The new ad, which you can hear by clicking here<\/a>, is a 60-second spot narrated by a child who talks about not understanding the need for a secure border and strong military, the need to protect the traditional family, and terms like \u201cconservative principles\u201d and \u201cinalienable rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just a kid now, so I don\u2019t understand these things, but someday I will, and all I\u2019ll want to know: Were you part of the solution?\u201d the narrator says.<\/p>\n
