Canon Albert Tarbell of <st1:city st=\"on\">Albuquerque<\/st1:city> and U.S. Sen. <a href=\"http:\/\/allard.senate.gov\/public\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wayne Allard<\/a>, R-Colo. Allard is the first <st1:country-region st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">U.S.<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> senator to endorse a candidate in the New Mexico Senate primary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cNew Mexico Republicans should nominate a candidate in June who\u2019ll be able to defeat the Democrats and hold Senator Pete Domenici\u2019s seat come January,\u201d Allard said in a news release from the <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Wilson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> campaign. \u201cControl of the U.S. Senate is hanging on just a handful of races around the country, and this <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">New Mexico<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> race is one of them. I\u2019m proud to endorse Heather Wilson because she is a commonsense conservative who can win in November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Tarbell called <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Wilson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> \u201cexperienced and bright\u201d and said he is proud to endorse her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI believe Heather is a person of strong faith and values,\u201d he said in a release. \u201cShe has represented her district well and I believe she will make a fantastic <st1:country-region st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">United   States<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> senator.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\" href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SBehfMkvq5I\/AAAAAAAAFnc\/UgFPFt_SDTk\/s1600-h\/Pearce,+Steve.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_IabUCQmoheQ\/SBehfMkvq5I\/AAAAAAAAFnc\/UgFPFt_SDTk\/s200\/Pearce,+Steve.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194798252518517650\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Pearce, meanwhile, picked up the endorsements of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abqpoa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Albuquerque Police Officer\u2019s Association<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cwfpac.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Campaign for Working Families<\/a>. The association\u2019s endorsement is significant in part because it comes from the state\u2019s largest city, which <st1:city st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Wilson<\/st1:place><\/st1:city> has represented in Congress for years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cSteve Pearce possesses the knowledge, experience and, most importantly, the dedication to represent us in <st1:state st=\"on\"><st1:place st=\"on\">Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:state>,\u201d Benjamin Baker, vice president of the association, said in a news release from the Pearce campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Pearce said he was honored to receive the endorsement of the Campaign for Working Families.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cI am pleased to see Americans who support pro-family, pro-life and pro-growth policies are continuing to speak out in favor of my candidacy for U.S. Senate,\u201d he said in a release. \u201cFamily budgets continue to feel the pressure from high gas and food prices.
